Common diagnoses/Types of patients Medical ICU: Sepsis, suicide attempt, drug or Alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, COVID, DKA, blood - Pressure or heart rate abnormal.
Post op complications - PCU: non-titratable infusions to maintain heart rate or blood Pressure.
Experience or 'Must have' skills Will need at least 2 year of ICU experience. Will take one year of ICU and one year of PCU/ Med surg if they have worked in larger facilities. and have strong skills.
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Sedation, vasopressors, insulin
