Job Title
Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Provide direct patient care in a mixed medical and surgical ICU setting with a 20-bed unit
Manage variable patient ratios based on acuity, including 1:1 assignments for post open heart surgery and critical ICU patients, and up to 1:2 for typical ICU assignments
Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, telemetry monitors, IV pumps, IABP, Impella, CRRT, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
Assist with and monitor patients undergoing procedures such as thoracentesis, central and arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
Administer and titrate critical care drips and manage hemodynamically unstable patients
Float to Progressive Care unit as needed and work every third weekend
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand prior to submission
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Telemetry experience required
PCU-level experience or higher required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior ICU experience strongly preferred
Experience with critical drips, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced critical care environment
