Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU setting with an average daily census of 16, maintaining a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio for adult patients
  • Manage and titrate a variety of drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications
  • Assess, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight support
  • Care for a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory distress, post-stent, pacemaker placement, vascular, and overdose/substance abuse cases
  • Troubleshoot and work alongside respiratory therapy equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
  • Float to PCU or occasionally Med/Surg as needed, maintaining comparable patient ratios
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN licensure in good standing
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Ability to titrate drips independently including cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
  • Ability to read, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips
  • Must be available for a minimum of 2 holidays falling within the contract period
  • Must be able to respond and arrive on-site within 30 minutes if called back in from on-call status
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel or contract nursing experience in an ICU setting
  • Experience with GE cardiac monitoring systems
  • Familiarity with high-acuity diagnoses including sepsis, stroke, and post-cardiac intervention care
