    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex problems
    • Assess patient and family readiness to learn, developmental level, and factors affecting ability to learn; utilize appropriate patient education materials
    • Identify expected patient outcomes, revise plans of care as needed, and communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care across the interdisciplinary team
    • Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
    • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families; consult appropriate resources for patients with complex care or high-risk discharge planning needs
    • Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and promotion of a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC
    • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
    • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
    • Experience in an intensive care or critical care setting
