Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, ensuring appropriate respiratory support and documentation
- Administer and titrate vasoactive drips in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for critically ill patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses using the facility EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Active Alabama RN license or active Multistate (Compact) RN license in good standing (no prior NURSYS hits)
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Experience managing ventilated patients and vasoactive drip therapy
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
- Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or critical care environment
