Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every third weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting managing diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, and PE
- Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including vasopressors and sedation agents
- Manage and troubleshoot ventilators, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
- Read and verify cardiac monitor strips in collaboration with centralized telemetry monitor technicians
- Float to lower levels of care including PCU and Med/Surg as needed; orientation provided for float units
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional extension to 1:3
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- ICU clinical experience including management of drips, ventilators, and BiPAP
- Ability to read and verify cardiac monitor strips
- Must pass an open-book skills competency exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
Preferred Experience / Skills- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- PALS and TNCC certifications preferred
