Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including step-down overflow as needed
- Manage and monitor advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring, management of invasive lines, and ventilator care
- Administer and monitor CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
- Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention care, including sheath removal
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and support post-cardiac surgery patients (non-direct OR transfers)
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting (CVICU, CCU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU strongly preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with a 2:1 patient ratio in an intensive care environment
- Hands-on experience with Impella and IABP device management
- Background in post-cardiac surgery patient care (step-down from ICU level, not direct OR)
