Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac Medicine)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Medicine ICU setting during night shift hours
- Manage and monitor vasoactive drips, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
- Care for patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiac conditions
- Deliver post-procedure care for patients following STEMIs, TAVRs, and similar interventions
- Float within scope of practice to other units within the facility as needed per facility policy
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Virginia license pending (license must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Strong familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters, vasoactive drips, and arterial lines
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills- BSN degree preferred
- Experience with advanced heart failure management and post-procedure cardiac care (STEMI, TAVR)
- Previous travel nursing experience in an ICU or critical care environment
