Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care.
  • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues.
  • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs, utilizing healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in unit goals, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe and secure hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practice and application of current nursing research to clinical care.
