Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a cardiovascular surgery unit setting
- Monitor patients using GE monitoring equipment and document care using Cerner EMR?
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, delivering safe and effective cardiac-focused nursing care
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements as part of the 6-week schedule rotation (4 weekend shifts per cycle)
- Float to other ICUs and, at times, med-surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery nursing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (all AHA-issued)
- Hands-on experience with cardiac/cardiovascular surgery patient populations
- Ability to work night shifts (18:30–07:00)

- Broader cardiac nursing background beyond CV surgery
- Outgoing, team-oriented personality with strong interpersonal communication skills
