Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a mixed ICU/PCU environment managing a variety of acuity levels, including ventilated patients, CRRT, and high-acuity cases at ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 based on patient acuity
  • Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure; respond to emergent situations including cardiac arrest
  • Manage ventilated patients including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, ETT/NT suctioning, ABG interpretation, and ventilator management
  • Administer and titrate continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, and emergency medications; manage IV insulin protocols
  • Perform and assist with specialized procedures including arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and CRRT/CVVHD
  • Float in rotation to other ICU and Med-Surg units as census requires, with Med-Surg ratios of approximately 1:5–7
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Michigan RN license (pending MI license considered with documented ETA and proof of application at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Ability to work every other weekend and all required holidays; no time-off requests in the first two weeks of assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, cooling protocols, and management of high-acuity diagnoses such as COPD, DKA, AKI, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, and acute stroke
  • Familiarity with specialized equipment including cooling machines, Bair Huggers, and massive transfusion protocols
  • Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and chest tubes
