    Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro ICU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Scheduled | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity Neuro ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio (up to 1:3 with stable, lower-acuity patients)
    • Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, post-craniotomy care, and other critically ill neurological conditions
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ICP monitors, external ventricular drains (EVDs), continuous EEG, mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, central venous catheters, and cooling devices for targeted temperature management
    • Float within the specialty and to lower-acuity units as needed; on-call may be required
    • Adhere to all unit compliance requirements including timely onboarding documentation and completion of required modules
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers with strong Neuro ICU experience will be considered
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
    • ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Neuro ICU experience highly preferred
    • CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
    • NIHSS certification preferred
