Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience required License: Current CA RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Experience with Patient Ratios - 2:1 - Experience with Charting System - Epic - Travel Experience required Description: The ICU Float position requires the ability to float to all units on the inpatient side including ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. The role involves caring for a variety of patient diagnoses including CVICU patients, neurological ICU patients, SICU, and MICU patients. Daily census ranges from 16 to 20 patients, with a staffing ratio of 2 patients per nurse. Travelers will be expected to float and take patient assignments on all mentioned units. An interdisciplinary support team will be available, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams. Candidates must have expertise in managing complex patient needs, including critical care and emergency management protocols. This position may involve working with specialized equipment such as CRRT, IABP, and ECMO. Compliance with hospital policies and procedures is mandatory. Candidates must complete all onboarding requirements, including work history verification for the past seven years. Max RTO is 7 days per contract, with specific holidays observed.
