Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 Years Required License: Valid State License Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac/neuro experience Trauma experience General surgery experience Seasoned traveler required Description: Traveling ICU Registered Nurse position available. The position requires floating between units such as ICU, Tele, or Med-Surg. On-call is not required for this position. Weekends are required, with 6 weekend shifts expected in a 6-week schedule to meet departmental needs. Block schedules are not required. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:2 to 1:3. Candidates must have experience in cardiac and neuro care, trauma care, and general surgical experience. A seasoned traveler is desired for this assignment. Hospital Overview: Type of facility is a short-term acute care center. Total staffed beds are 379. This facility is designated as a Level II Trauma Center. The dress code for nursing personnel requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire. Uniform policies apply to both licensed and unlicensed personnel. Additional Details: Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces. The daily census averages around 11 patients. There are 16 beds within the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include trauma, cardiovascular surgery, and general surgery. The unit uses special equipment such as ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
