Registered Nurse - ICU

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, self-scheduling when possible, every other weekend, holidays per perm staff rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver critical care to ICU and CCU patients including neuro surgery cases, open heart recoveries, and ventilator management
- Manage vasoactive drips, titrate medications like norepinephrine and propofol with precision
- Read tele strips independently and respond swiftly to patient needs
- Collaborate with hospitalists, RTs, and pharmacy for optimal outcomes
- Float to IMCU or Observation to support the team where needed most
- Mentor nurse aides and contribute as charge nurse when called upon
Education
- RN degree from an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in managing vents, balloon pumps, and impellas
- Proficiency with common ICU drips and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to handle ICP monitoring and post-craniotomy care
- Strong assessment skills for diverse patient diagnoses
