Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: CA RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Travel experience required - Every other weekend availability required Description: The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must have at least 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU setting. Strong skills in accessing and managing ports and monitoring central venous pressure are essential. Experience in ventilator management and care of ventilated patients is required. Candidates should be proficient in administering blood products and performing phlebotomy. Knowledge of emergency medications and dysrhythmia management is necessary. The position requires the ability to interpret arterial blood gases and manage IV infusions. Additionally, candidates should be skilled in isolation precautions and infection prevention. Support from interdisciplinary teams will be available. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The typical patient ratio will be 2 patients per nurse during shifts. Travel compliance must be confirmed prior to engagement. A 7-year work history verification is needed for candidate evaluation. References from the last year are required. All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of submission.
