Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in ICU float - Experience with patient ratios of 2-3 in ICU, 4-5 in PCU, and 5-6 in MS/MS Tele - Proficient in Epic charting system Description: This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care nursing. Candidates with relevant nursing experience are encouraged to apply. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The nurse will be floating primarily in ICU, but may also be required to float to other units as needed. The position involves a required ratio of 1:2-3 in ICU settings. The nurse is responsible for the care of ventilated patients and must be skilled in central line management, blood product administration, and arterial line management. Candidates should be knowledgeable in infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and management of dysrhythmias. Isolation precautions and PPE adherence are necessary in this role. Experience in neuro intensive care is preferred. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services. Applicants are expected to meet compliance and documentation requirements prior to the contract start. If a major holiday falls during the assignment, the nurse is expected to work it.
