The unit provides care for patients with ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, and various neuro surgeries. It is the only neuro critical care unit in the region. The RN will float to surgical intensive care and other critical care units as needed. Required experience includes advanced monitoring and management of complex critical care patients. Candidates must have expertise in managing ventilated patients and administering critical care medications. Experience assisting with procedural line insertions is necessary. Surgical patients may require specialized care involving monitoring and management of various lines and drains.
