The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, quality nursing care.
The RN utilizes Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and Relationship Based Care.
The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for all assigned patients.
The RN makes determinations regarding patient progress toward goals.
The RN utilizes therapeutic professional relationships with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Care is provided according to specific physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient.
The RN supports the mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence within the organization.
Competence is demonstrated through the application of the nursing process.
The RN provides care consistent with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
