About the Position

Shift: Day - 8x5 - 09AMDescription:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team.The ICU RN provides complex and specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and life support.The ideal candidate excels in high-pressure environments,demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including continuous monitoring of vital signs and advanced life support systems.Administer medications, titrate IV drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives), and manage ventilators and other critical equipment.Conduct comprehensive assessments and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.Collaborate with physicians and the critical care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.Assist with procedures such as central line insertions, intubations, and bedside diagnostics.Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMRs).Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients' families during stressful and uncertain situations.Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.Participate in code blue and rapid response situations as needed.Requirements:Active RN licenseBLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN or equivalent ICU certification an asset.Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience required.Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, pharmacology, and advanced medical equipment.Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.Ability to stay calm and function effectively in high-stress, fast-paced situations.Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
