Job Title: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care/ICU-CCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit is required. Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work in the critical care unit. Description: Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with other health team members. Interacts effectively with patients and significant others while maintaining high professional nursing standards. Provides high-quality care to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations. Estimated workweek is 36 hours with the possibility of additional hours. Every other weekend rotation is required. Every other holiday rotation is required. While not part of a regular call rotation, travelers may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification are required.
