Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and LA Fire Card Must-Have: Strong neuro experience Description: Strong neuro experience is required, including expertise in cardiovascular care, multi-trauma, gunshot wounds, stroke management, and ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) care. Experience with motor vehicle accidents and orthopedic cases is essential. The facility is a level 2 trauma center and a thrombectomy-capable stroke center, catering to a high acuity neuro patient population. Familiarity with CABG, valve procedures, IABP, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), sepsis management, and surgical care is important. Travelers will be required to float between ICU and PCU overflow as needed. Preferred experience includes trauma-level II cases. Candidates should have a comprehensive skill set that includes arterial line management, managing ventilated patients, central line care, and administering emergency medications. Knowledge in critical care procedures, monitoring, and interventions is also necessary. Effective communication and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are crucial for this position.
