Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11.5H 19:00-07:00 or 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care License: Current nursing license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Advanced hemodynamic monitoring experience ICP monitoring experience Experience with ventilated patients Knowledge of pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications Ability to assist with line insertion and maintenance Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients Experience with ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVD Knowledge of PA lines and waveform interpretation Description: This position involves caring for patients in a critical care environment. The unit is equipped for surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis cases. Responsibilities will include advanced monitoring of hemodynamics and intracranial pressure. The nurse will manage ventilated patients and administer pressors and inotropes. Assisting with the insertion and maintenance of lines is required. Care for post-surgical patients involving various tubes and drains is necessary. The candidate must be skilled in the management of ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, and EVDs. Knowledge of PA lines and the ability to interpret waveforms is essential.
