Job Title: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Profession: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Specialty: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Required Must-Have: Cerner and Epic EMR experience Description: This position will provide support for the unit as preparations are made for the Epic go-live. Experience with Cerner and Epic EMR is required. Prior to the end of the assignment, unit needs will be assessed, and an extension could be offered. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed in order to work in the ICU. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effective interaction with patients, significant others, and other health team members is essential while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. High-quality care will be provided to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations. Estimated work week is 36 hours. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other holiday and weekend rotation is required. BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification are required. Floating to other units may be expected.
