Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - EKG exam must be passed on the first attempt - Epic experience required Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The candidate will provide care to critically ill and postoperative patients. Procedures include invasive hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management. Candidates will care for patients recovering from open heart surgery and those needing arrhythmia monitoring. Advanced cardiac life support, pacemaker/ICD management, and CRRT utilization are essential functions of the role. Management of patients on ECMO and VAD is also included. The candidate must be capable of floating to other ICU and medical-surgical floors as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend during the contract duration. The facility operates under a tobacco and fragrance-free policy. Each nurse will care for a maximum of 2 patients at any given time. COVID patient care may be required. Candidates must be prepared for clinical screening to determine fit for the unit. Strong clinical judgment and skills in various acute care procedures are essential.
