Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current state nursing license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ICU experience and extensive cardiac experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our medical surgical, cardiac telemetry, stroke neuro, step-down ICU, and ICU units. Candidates must have ICU experience and be willing to float to medical surgical if needed. Extensive cardiac experience is required. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and appropriately escalates concerns to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
