Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 18 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Artificial nails are prohibited. Description: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to be considered. Weekend requirements include working every other Saturday and Sunday. Registered Nurses are expected to pass an open book exam during orientation with a 90% score required. RNs will work with a variety of patients, including trauma, cardiac, and respiratory distress cases. The nurse-to-patient ratio for adults is 1:2-3. Nurses are required to titrate drips and manage various cardiac and sedation medications. There is a healthcare support team available during weekdays. RNs must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips. Floating to PCU or MedSurg units may occur with similar patient ratios. Minimum holiday requirements include working two holidays during the contract period. Requests for time off must not exceed seven days per 13-week contract.
