Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in an ICU setting - Ability to float between various ICU units - Familiarity with Cerner charting system - Hands-on skills in critical care procedures Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specialized in ICU care. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend will be required. Requests for time off are limited to five days maximum, with no more than two consecutive days. Time off is not allowed on holidays or weekends. Floating is a mandatory requirement for all staff, with potential rotations to multiple ICU units. RNs may also be required to float to medical-surgical units if staffing needs arise. Orientation will include a first week of day shifts for training and precepting. Clinicians need to effectively manage critical care duties, including advanced life support measures. Nurses will engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role demands comprehensive knowledge in patient care practices, including ventilator management and sedation protocols.
