Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required Proficient in IV start Experience with telemetry Competency with ventilators Description: The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse provides critical care to patients in need of specialized treatment. This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies. Registered Nurses will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must be skilled in arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and central line management. Experience in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and interpreting arterial blood gases is essential. The nurse will also manage emergency medications and perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring. A strong understanding of the hypothermia protocol and experience with cardiogenic shock, post-interventional procedures, and managing decompensating heart failure is preferred. All candidates must demonstrate the ability to float to different units. Shifts will include every other weekend coverage. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or supervisor.
