Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Recent ICU experience - Ability to float within different ICU units - Adherence to weekend requirements and scheduling policies Description: The Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Shifts will be 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. There is a weekend requirement of every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. The RN will float between various ICU units, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and may be asked to float to Med-Surg units if needed. Floating is a standard practice and RNs should expect to float regularly. The first week will consist of orientation and precepting shifts on day shift. The RN must have strong skills in various critical care competencies, including arterial line management, ventilator management, and titration of IV medications. Candidates must provide two professional references from previous employers, ensuring one is from the most recent employer. The RNs will be part of a dynamic team focused on providing exemplary patient care. Compliance with all scheduling and time-off policies is essential.
