Job Title: RN Float Pool Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Full-Time 3x12 day shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.) Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in MedSurg/Tele/Critical Care Units License: Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required through AHA or RQI system Must-Have: Must be cross-trained for multiple units (medical/surgical, ICU, ER). Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Must be comfortable floating to ICU, ER, and medical/surgical units. Description: Short Description: RN Days (7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.) EOW/Holiday rotations & 2 OC shifts per 4 weeks. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. Computer literacy is necessary. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with professional standards. Ensures safety, promotes dignity, and exemplifies healthy relationships. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan. Provide care necessary for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups.
