Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. At least 1 year of critical care experience required. License: Registered Nurse License is required. Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS preferred CPI preferred TNCC preferred Must-Have: Adult patient care experience in critical care settings. Ability to float between similar specialty units as needed. Description: This position offers an auto offer for a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Float Pool. Shifts will be on nights, from 19:00 to 07:30, and may vary throughout the week. Travelers will float between Neuro/Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, and Progressive Care. Floating to sister facilities may also occur based on facility needs. The critical care float pool requires the ability to care for a wide range of critical care-related diagnoses. Patient ratios can go as high as 1:3 in ICU units and 1:4 in progressive care. Weekend work is required as per unit needs, typically every other weekend. Candidates must have experience managing patients with multiple critical care diagnoses. Skills required include managing various lines, administering medications, and supporting patients on mechanical ventilation. Experience with emergency protocols and critical care procedures is essential. This position may require on-call duties as needed based on staffing requirements. Candidates with previous charge experience will be given preference. Teamwork and strong communication skills are vital for success in this role. Completion of facility-specific modules is mandatory within the first week of the assignment.
