- Schedule: 3×12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay:$2150 to $2350
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and hemodynamic stability
- Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, blood products, and advanced life-support treatments as prescribed
- Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other ICU technology
- Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and critical care best practices
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during challenging situations
Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
- Experience managing ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, and critically ill medical or surgical patients
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities
