Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a hospital setting Epic experience is required License: Valid state or compact license is required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Must-Have: Epic experience is a hard requirement. No first-time travelers will be considered. Description: Epic experience is required. Recent Epic experience must be noted. Charting experience must be included with each submission. The ICU unit typically operates with a patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:3. Travelers must have a minimum of one successful travel assignment to be considered. Three weekend shifts are required within a six-week period. Travelers will not be on-call. Clinicians may be required to float to medical-surgical units. This position does accommodate locals. Five days of requested time off (RTO) will be allowed during the assignment. No additional RTO requests will be accepted after submission. Mandatory experiences include managing continuous intravenous sedation and ventilator care. The daily census in the ICU includes a variety of patient demographics and diagnoses. Nurses will need to manage various critical care equipment and interventions. The attendance policy is strict, with missed shifts leading to potential cancellation. Travelers should be prepared to complete all required modules prior to starting. Compliance with maintained documentation of charting and ratios is essential. References from a manager or unit supervisor are required from the previous assignment.
