Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in a Neuro ICU setting. License: Pending license accepted. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS. Must-Have: - Neuro ICU experience - Floating to other ICUs as required - EVD insertions, Neuro Post-op care, A-line insertions, Intubation, Central line insertion, CRRT, Post-TPA care, Post Thrombectomy Care - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. The role requires a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a Neuro ICU. COVID-19 vaccination is required. Religious and medical exemptions are accepted with proper documentation. The nurse will care for patients with diagnoses such as TBI, SAH, SDH, tumor resections, status epilepticus, and other neurological disorders. The nurse may float to other ICUs and PCU floors as needed. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:2. Weekend requirements vary based on unit needs. The facility is a Level I trauma and teaching hospital. This role includes essential neuro skills and experience in a critical care environment. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Successful candidates will have prior experience with ventilated patients and critical drip management. Additional skills in the management of neuro intensive care are preferred. Compliance with specific training and ongoing education is mandatory.
