Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours, 1900-0730 including rotating weekend/holiday coverage Experience: Preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required certifications include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Acute care facility experience is preferred. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress towards attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and humane care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Delivers health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
