Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must have experience in critical care settings. - Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work every other weekend. Description: Join our Critical Care Float Pool, providing care for patients in various critical care units. This role involves working in intensive care settings, including surgical and medical ICUs, cardiac care, and oncology. You will care for critically ill patients requiring advanced interventions and monitoring. Knowledge of advanced critical care protocols and procedures is necessary, including managing ventilated patients, arterial lines, and central lines. Experience with a patient ratio of 1:2 for SICU and MICU, and 1:3 for CCU and OICU is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of interpreting clinical data and performing advanced nursing techniques. Individuals must demonstrate strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to various patient care environments. Floating between different units may be required based on facility needs. Preference given to those with trauma experience and proficiency in a specified charting system. This position will require commitment to high-quality patient care and a dedication to continuous learning. All applicants must possess current certifications through an accredited body. Candidates are expected to have recent specialty experience within the last year.
