  • Location: Salt Lake City
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3×12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay:$2100 to $2390
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced interventions
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and hemodynamic stability
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, vasoactive drips, sedation, and other prescribed treatments
  • Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and invasive monitoring devices
  • Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
  • Assist physicians during emergency procedures, intubations, central line insertions, and bedside interventions
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, patient safety protocols, and ICU best practices
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during critical situations
Requirements
  • Active Utah Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
  • Experience caring for ventilated patients and managing advanced cardiac and critical care monitoring
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, emergency response, and communication skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional critical care nursing services
