Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care for a variety of ICU patients, including ventilated and high-acuity patients
- Manage ventilators and perform ventilator assessment and interventions when needed
- Titrate drips safely and effectively (vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, heparin, insulin, octreotide)
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and eICU resources to optimize patient outcomes
- Serve as an engaged unit team member—communicate clearly, support colleagues, and help maintain 1:2 (occasionally 1:3) patient ratios
- Complete unit-specific orientation including classroom plus two 12-hour shifts and demonstrate skills on a pass/fail orientation exam
