Job Title: Travel RN - CCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital ICU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience - BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications Description: This position is for a travel registered nurse in the coronary care unit. The unit comprises 26 beds and a staffing of 15. There are 13 RNs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 patient care technician on the day shift. Night shift also includes 13 RNs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 patient care technician. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. The unit utilizes equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia devices. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. The typical procedures performed include heart catheterizations, balloon pump management, CRRT, hypothermia, cardioversion, and central line placements. Candidates must be driven, organized, and efficient. A positive attitude and engagement are essential traits for success in this role. Prior Meditech experience and previous travel experience in large ICU facilities are preferred but not required.
