Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required; pending licenses may be accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; TNCC and CCRN preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Ability to float within the ICU and intermediate care units Care of ventilated patients and management of dysrhythmias Description: This position involves floating to various ICU and intermediate care units. You will be working in Medical ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU, Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Special Pathogens Unit, and Intermediate Units. You may be assigned to ED Boarders. A commitment to working nights, every other weekend, and every other holiday is required. Time off cannot be approved for specific holidays. You may also be asked to cover additional shifts as needed. Candidates must adhere to the float policy and provide care in accordance with their scope of practice. You will be required to participate in continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. Experience with interpreting dysrhythmias and managing dysrhythmias is necessary. Interdisciplinary support is available within the unit, including teams for respiratory services, physical therapy, and more. Daily census and patient ratios will vary, and flexibility in scheduling is essential. We support a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Travel experience is preferred. BSN is preferred, and Nursys verification is required for submission. Modules related to specialty are part of the onboarding process.
