Description:
This position requires the delivery of high-quality patient care in an intensive care environment.
The unit features a patient ratio of 1:1 or 2:1, with the possibility of 3:1 depending on patient acuity.
The team consists solely of registered nurses, with no additional support staff.
Important equipment used in this unit includes ventilators, telemetry systems, infusion pumps, and advanced monitoring devices.
The documentation system utilized is Cerner.
Staffing consists of 36 hours per week, with alternating weekends and 12-hour shifts.
Traveling nurses may be required to float to all areas as needed.
Prior ICU experience is essential.
Preferred skills include advanced knowledge and experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
Procedures performed on this unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis.
The dress code mandates navy scrubs, with specific guidelines in place regarding additional clothing.
