Description

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year of Experience License: SC license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: Patient ratio experience 2-3 Description: Position requires an ICU RN. Shift is 3 nights per week from 7 PM to 7 AM. Patient care ratios are typically 1:2, with occasional 1:3. Unit has 10 beds and requires weekend coverage every other weekend. On-call shifts are required, with at least 2 shifts every 6 weeks. The RN may float to other units as needed to meet facility requirements. Candidates must have at least 1 year of nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must possess an active SC license or have applied for one. Certifications needed include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CCRN is preferred. Open to block schedule requests, but approval is not guaranteed. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Patients primarily include adults and geriatrics with various medical, surgical, and cardiac diagnoses. Daily census in the unit is around 6 patients. Special interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. All lab work must be completed within a specific timeframe prior to the start date. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June to November.
