Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Neuro Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Strong Neuro ICU experience with a minimum of 2 years. No first-time travelers accepted. Description: We are seeking a skilled registered nurse for our ICU Neuro unit. The unit specializes in neurocritical care, including stroke management and post-operative neurosurgery care. The average daily census ranges from 11 to 12 patients, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1. Nurses may need to flex to a 3:1 ratio during high census periods. Patients include those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, and post-operative issues from craniotomies. Candidates should have experience with advanced neuro ICU procedures and patient care, including EVD and ICP monitoring. Strong ability in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. The position requires compliance with isolation precautions and PPE usage. The schedule includes every other weekend, and float requirements may apply. This role is vital for delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, critical environment.
