Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 5 years License: Must hold a current nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Efficient time management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Smartphone to communicate with physicians Proficiency in nursing skills such as IV starts and blood draws NG tube placements ECG rhythm interpretation Lab and ABG interpretation Management of critical care drips and titrations Management of ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, central venous lines Assisting physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation Effective communication with patients and families Description: The position involves working in a critical care environment. The facility’s critical care services include multiple units specializing in adult and geriatric care. RN will float to various critical care areas as needed. Patient ratios vary by unit. The equipment used includes bedside monitoring systems, IV pumps, ventilators, and CRRT machines. The EHR system utilized is Meditech. Supervision will be provided by a designated supervisor. Candidates will engage with a diverse patient population with conditions including respiratory failure, strokes, and shock situations. The role requires high levels of collaboration and communication with team members. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to function effectively in critical situations. Prior experience in a teaching hospital and handling advanced skills is preferred. Candidates must complete all required online learning assignments.
