Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in ICU License: State licensure or compact license required at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 2-3 - Experience with charting system required Description: The registered nurse will be responsible for providing intensive care to critically ill patients. The nurse will manage dysrhythmias and care for ventilated patients. Arterial line and central line management are key responsibilities. The nurse will also titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed. Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management is required. Suctioning, isolation precautions, and infection prevention will be part of the duties. Daily patient census in the unit is approximately 6, with a maximum of 8 beds available. Interdisciplinary support will include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The nurse will be expected to float within the facility as needed. One major holiday may occur during the assignment, and the nurse is required to work it. Full compliance is required to start on time; failure to meet compliance may result in delayed start.
