Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds : 20
Patient Ratios : 2:1, sometimes 1:1 depending on acuity.
Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Occasional nurse extern working as a tech.
Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000, traction.
Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling requirements: Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule.
Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. If the staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment.
Patient Experience requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients/family members.
Hospital Specifics-
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: Active RN license. ACLS. BLS. ICU experience.
Advanced skills needed: Trauma experience preferred.
Procedures performed on unit: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions.
Certifications Required: ACLS. BLS.
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
