Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of Texas or compact Certifications: Current BLS certification required Current ACLS certification required Must-Have: Experience with knowledge and recovery of post-cardiothoracic surgery, fresh out of the OR Familiarity with Impella, Balloon Pump, Arctic Sun, Tablo XT/CRRT, and high acuity patients with multiple comorbidities and drips Previous experience with Epic preferred Description: The competent nurse practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to set long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
