Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ICU experience (2 years) Teamwork skills New Graduate RN support Description: This position involves working in an Intensive Care Unit with a ratio of 2:1 and 3:1 for patient assignments. All RN staff will work collaboratively in a supportive environment. The unit is equipped with ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitors. Documentation is performed using a Meditech system. Staff will participate in self-scheduling with managerial oversight, including 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule. Floating may be required for critical staffing needs in Med-Surg and Emergency Departments. Patient experience objectives include AIDET, BSSR, and meeting Press Ganey goals of 75%. The unit has specific procedures such as intubation, central line insertions, and arterial line insertions. Advanced skills required include management of ventilators, IV drip titration, and arterial line management. Dress code consists of navy blue scrubs.
