Local candidates are acceptable. First-time travelers are not accepted. Floating to similar units is required, and candidates must be flexible. No weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements. The unit handles a high volume of interventional cardiac patients. Candidates will assist with pre/post invasive and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities include cardioversion and pre/post angiogram care. Experience with elective PCI procedures is necessary. Candidates will care for EP patients, including receiving ablation, lead placement, and pacemaker placement. Post-operative recovery for structural heart patients requires expertise. Familiarity with TEE, cardioversion, and procedure sedation is essential. Candidates will administer blood and blood products and manage cardioversion and defibrillation. Epicardial pacer management and sheath removal skills are required. Telemetry interpretation experience is critical. Knowledge of heparin and insulin administration is necessary. This position involves a patient ratio of 1:3 during the day shift. The unit capacity is 16 beds, catering to adults and geriatric patients. Emergency respiratory services and rapid response teams are available for support. Candidates should be prepared for an interdisciplinary team environment. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required during the compliance process prior to start. Candidates must complete required compliance modules, typically averaging 16 hours. Time spent on modules is self-reported.
